Food is always delicious. Fries tend to be less than hot so you might want to ask for fresh fries. Protein Wrap and Pita Pan Gyro are absolute musts. Pizza is ehhh, but you should order from a pizza joint if you want pizza.

I've ordered from here several time in the 2yrs I live in Astoria. There is ALWAYS an issue with delivery! So much so that the manager will have an attitude with you if you call more than twice after separate deliveries. I'm so over this place. The fries are the not good thing here anyway.

Always comes fast, so yummy! Pita pan gyro is pork perfection and their fries are pretty much amazing.

The food is seriously great, but there is always some sort of problem. Either they mess up my order (I'm vegan and even though I always request no dairy, I've received orders with dairy twice), or this time, they took over an hour to deliver my food, and when it FINALLY came it was cold. Like. Ice cold. Like. Practically refrigerated. You may as well go get it in the restaurant because the food actually is good.

kabobs are good, but everything else tastes dry

Food is good if you actually go to the restaurant. If they deliver they always mess up the sauce you ask for and the smoothies suck. Otherwise ok I guess. Just order chicken shack.

Falafel was burnt, pork wasn't that tasty, and they sent me a Diet Coke when I ordered a regular Coke.

I'd do some pretty vile and reprehensible stuff to get free pork gyro from these guys.
Posted 9 months ago by craig g.
will give them 0 stars if I can.... after waiting on the delivery for 15 min, some guy called and told me that they are too far away and can not make the delivery to my place.... uhhhhh why would your restaurant show as an option to choose from if you are too far away... poor excuse, poor service... dont care for your food anyway!

Asked for no onions on one pita, it was full of onions. Did not come with salad that was ordered, and fries were too spicy. Did not send ketchup. Fast, and the gyro was tasty, if greasy.

Never give you sauce any more

This place quick, inexpensive, and constantly delicious. What more could you ask for? One of the best spots on 30th ave

The veggie wrap is DELISH. Also obessed with the fries and chipotle mayo..

Disappointing pizza which was ordered never arrived and had to call was spoken to be a rude hostess. She did not even apologise the pizza was omitted from the order just it was on the way. Customer service training should be a number one requirement of this establishment. A simple call to express they forget the Pizza would have meant that they understand the there customers. At this stage weather the food was on par with take out now does not matter as it now will have gone cold before the pizza arrives and one of my party now sits with out there meal...

Placed in order and after an hour called... was told its on its way... 45 mins later I call again and was told we never received the order. I do not like to be toyed with when I am hungry.

Salad was good, dressing was lousy, souvlaki was dry.

Not Good.... food was cold and not cooked well

Food took over 1.5 hours to arrive, closer to two. Email confirmation said it would be 20-30 minutes.
Unapologetic about absurd delivery time.
Hire more delivery people Pita, or don't bother offering delivery. Absolutely absurd.

Slow but great feta cheese dip and pork souvlaki! Fries are good but when ordered delivery they are soggy, so I put them on a tray in toaster oven and just use the toast dial to dark and then they are nice.

Mediocre at best, if you're starving that is. Food takes forever, almost always arrives cold, but it is cheap so what can you really expect?

Pita Pan used to have great Chicken Tenders, which I ordered or picked up fairly regularly, but this week I got rubbery fake chicken strips that were completely inedible. I pulled each piece apart hoping that it was an accidental bad piece that got mixed up in the batch, but every one had the same rubbery texture. The only resemblance to chicken was the color.
According to the Pita Pan website their "products are created from scratch and brilliantly fuse modern organic, gourmet low carbohydrate offerings with classical Greek fare". Fake chicken does not fit into any of these categories to me.
Their fries were still good, but I will not be going back.

This is the second time I've ordered and waited over an hour, only to be told, they didn't receive the order via Seamless Web. Management stated: "we are slow on delivery guys tonight, so your food is still in the kitchen". After an hour? I live 10 blocks away! The folks at Seamless Web gave me great customer service and promptly issued a refund with apologies. PITA PAN you're in the CAN with me. Never again.

ugh, the fries in theory should taste great, but they were soggy, cold and oily. for a $5 box of fries, that kind of stinks.
the cobb salad was probably made with canned or jarred ingredients, so it didnt really taste fresh. overall my meal was dismal :/

Horrible! Ordered the open Gyro plate and it came with no Salad or fries when I called the restaurant they said the menu was not updated and neither was included. Really? Paid $12 to get a handful of dry chicken, 1/4 of an onion, 4 pieces of tomatoe and 3 small triagle pieces of Pita bread ann thrown together in a small white box! Don't order from here!

I used to love this place but they've gone downhill recently. The last time we ordered from them by the time our food actually showed up it was cold, squished, and the meat was really dry.

We love Pita Pan!! The Beef Gyros and Souvlaki Sticks are delicious!!

Good basic stuff. The Honey-balsamic dressing is amazing.
The delivery is ok. Never a long time, never a short time.
The mix and match pitas make for an easy lunch or dinner decision. The meat itself is usually a little on the dry side, but the veggies, fries and sauce more than compensate and you end up with harmony on your tongue.

I love this place . The prices and variety are good and the food is very fresh. Also, delivery is usually quick even when they're busy. My favorites are the zucchini fritters and the greek burger and the chicken skewer sandwich :)

fast service and delicious food

super fast delivery! the peter pan sauce is basically really good fry sauce (for those that know what fry sauce is), and works surprisingly well with mozzarella sticks. extra pita with the single dip is absolutely a must!

Every food item was of exceptionally poor quality. Falafel looked like charcoal, and no hummus--or no substance identifiable as such, might've been mayo instead. Milkshake was rancid. Burger order was wrong.

Fast, easy, and consistent food

The chicken was tough and dry and the milkshake tasted like powder. Not worth the money.

they didnt give me half of my order, the food that did show up was the rare combination of burned and cold.
Posted 3 years ago by colleen f.
Good Service...Standard food for what you would expect from a "chain". Delivery is good and have never had an issue with my order.
Posted 3 years ago by Elissa M.
this place is cool. falafel is yum yum. their cheesy dip is great, but hummous is pretty bad (like paste). and their smoothies are way too milky, and just bad flavor combos.
their prices are ok though. they give really really measly portions of pita with the dips though! isn't pita in their name? i swear, i ordered extra pita one time and they just divided up a single portion into 2 packs. they seem reallllllly stingy in the pita. it's totally bizarre...

Pita bread was thin and dry. Greek salad was decent.

french fries. yuck
Posted 3 years ago by Meghan B.
I've only got delivery but the chicken gyro was flavorless, the falafel plate is just falafel balls (not worth the price) and the salad is lettuce with cheese (just weird) not worth the price and food not worth ordering.

Pita Pan... oh how I miss the good ol Days! I moved to Astoria in the fall of 2008 to a street near pita pan, and used to pass it on my walk home every night... so I would at least get food from them on average about 3 times a week... at least, or sometimes more! So let's just say, average $10.00 3 times a week is $30 a week x's 4= $120.00 a month I was spending there for at least the first year I lived off 30th ave... that's quite a bit for the average customer I would say. I used to brag and brag to all my friends in Astoria how good Pita Pan was, and how they should give it a try... not anymore. I don't know what happened with their customer service and delivery?!? Maybe the came under new management or something... but it is TERRIBLE. And if they screw up.... forget it, you'll still pay full price for what you ordered, and just have to deal with it. That has become their motto... back in the good ol days, if a place screwed up, they would offer the customer something... a lil something to make up for it... not pita pan. They are Terrible in this department... I barley ever get food from there now because of quite a long string of bad experiences (not excluding, no food being brought from a delivery order off of seamless web, because their printer paper ran out, and it didn't print? And then 2 hours later I got my food, and had to pay full price... to the delivery guy being soo rude as to ask... "Where's my tip?" ... in broken english no doubt, but needless to say I almost threw him down back down the stairs... this was the last straw for me)... Pita Pan need to do something to change, or they are gonna lose all of their once former loyal customers like me... oh and one more thing, I believe their prices have stayed the same, but portions have shrunk... pay the same and get less... reminds me of the MTA

I've eaten at the Pita Pan before, but this was my first time getting delivery and something went very wrong somehow. The order was submitted for delivery TO Pita Pan, not to my home address! I got a call from the delivery guy but he couldn't really communicate with me. I went to the street to look for him, but didn't see anyone so I called Pita Pan who told me that they had no way of tracing my order, that someone just picks it up and goes. It took the delivery guy and the people at Pita Pan twenty minutes to figure out that the delivery address was actually the restaurant's address. Finally I get a call from someone else who explained that the delivery guy was lost and I gave him the right address. About ten minutes later, my food finally arrived. After all of this running around, my burger and fries were very cold. The side greens and dressing were missing. Needless to say, my experience was less than satisfactory and I won't be ordering from them soon.

Beware the "Classic Soda Bottle." At $2.25, I had assumed this was a two-liter bottle, or at least a one liter. But instead, it is an EIGHT OZ glass bottle. Half the soda at twice the price.

I've always heard rumors that they never get the orders right on deliveries and was always hesitant to try it out until I did and so those rumors were in fact true....
1- I had said I was allergic to onions and to PLEASE have no onions in my 2 gyro sandwiches and of course both gyro sandwiches had a lot of onions
2- It came cold
3- I asked for a Diet Coke and instead received a regular Coke.
The only upside, when I spoke to the GM, she was able to re-send my order the correct way. I ended up waiting an extra 15 minutes for the next CORRECT order to arrive.

Generally lacking in taste or spices.

Gyro plate came slopped together and totally disgusting. Says it should come with salad only to be informed when I called that it doesn't come with salad, which is fine, but don't make me feel like the idiot because your website is incorrect. Didn't come with sauce and most importantly asked for no onions due to an allergy and food came covered in them.

The food is great but the delivery time is ridiculous! They took 50 MINS one time, and 70 MINS the next!! You better order when you're not so hungry yet...
Posted 4 years ago by Engin B.
Not impressed; there are plenty of street carts that do this kind of food MUCH better and cheaper in this neighborhood.

if you want quick and good food, this is the place you want to go definitely... their chicken gyro sandwiches are great and the zucchini fritters are awesome!!! they have really good smoothies... everything seems very healthy and clean to me... 5 stars...

Okay food and nice that they are open late, but they always mess up the order. This has happened at least three times. One time they forgot to put the protein on the salad that we ordered. When we called, the young girl answering the phone told me she couldn't send someone over with just the protein and questioned if I had ordered it to begin with. I asked for a manager and told her to check the seamlessweb order, of course it was on there. About 40 minutes later the food was here.

for the low price- this place is great. The pita is always soft and the meat is great - if you dine in, go for the hand-cut fries. They are delicious!
Posted 5 years ago by ALLISON M.
Quick service and really yummy food! The french fries are some of the best I've ever had!
Posted 5 years ago by Michelle K.
The pita sandwiches are consistently excellent. Other non-core items, however, should be skipped. The hummus was a dry and heavy paste. The strawberry smoothie was almost tasteless, seemingly just strawberries and water. The vanilla milkshake was very bland.
Posted 5 years ago by Adam H.
Everythign is really good. I like the warm pita and the milkshakes are small for their price but only milkshakes I can get delivered.
